Snowy and Abstrakt Sonance Drop Four Fresh Grime Tracks

Snowy and Abstrakt Sonance have teamed up to deliver one of the heaviest grime projects of the year, BANNED.

As the popularity of 140-BPM dubstep skyrockets worldwide, so has the influence of UK Grime artists like Nottingham-based lyricist Snowy. There’s no doubt the two genres are a match made in heaven, not only for production but for mixing in live DJ sets as well.

This week, Snowy teamed up with talented Canadian dubstep producer Abstrakt Sonance on their four-track EP, BANNED, and it’s safe to say they weren’t messing around on this one. When Abstrakt Sonance and fellow Deep, Dark, & Dangerous artists like Truth began rinsing the title track’s VIP in their DJ sets, it was immediately evident from crowd reactions that it would be one of the hottest grime tracks of the year.

The EP starts with “BANNED – 1,” which focuses on Snowy’s gritty vocal contributions. It’s hard not to love his talented lyricism and signature “Ai Ai Ai” that sends the crowd into a fury every time.”KEEP UP” features another up-and-coming star within the realm of grime, London-based artist Logan_olm. Reggae-influenced drum patterns and bass fit perfectly with Logan’s vocal style, and he and Snowy flow together with raw energy. Within the rhymes, the pair sends a message to other artists that no one can stay on their level.

The third tune, “WHY ME?,” features a second producer, Kali, who contributes to the flawless production delivered by Abstrakt Sonance to leave a lasting impression on listeners. Then, the final track, a VIP version of “BANNED,” makes a massive statement as the two artists close out this quick ride in the realm of grime.

BANNED is out everywhere now, so be sure to head to Spotify or your preferred platform to stream this heater of a project for yourself.
