Shingo Nakamura continues to show off his production prowess with the release of his latest album, Solace, on Monstercat Silk.

Electronic music lovers have flocked to the intimate, serene soundscapes found in the melodic house realm more than ever before, and Shingo Nakamura is one of the artists who has helped lead the charge. Hailing from Japan, he’s been a frequent face on Monstercat Silk over the years, offering some of the most gorgeous sounds and forward-thinking productions. Add in his live shows that have brought another layer to his legacy, and you’ve got the recipe for a truly impressive run.

Shingo Nakamura released Glow in the wake of the pandemic after spending time in isolation in Japan. But in 2024, he returned to traveling and touring, leading to the creation of his latest album, Solace. Out now on Monstercat Silk, this collection of tunes is rooted in his experiences getting back to live shows, all of which were created with his performances in mind.

Unlike his other albums, Shingo Nakamura produced these tunes outside of his home country, which led to the influences heard throughout its runtime. “This was my first time making music outside of Japan. I worked in studios and with artists in LA, Seattle, and with BT in DC,” he shared about the creation of Solace. “Blending Japanese and American styles and influences gives the album a global sonic journey. I would be happy if the album can accompany all of you as you travel and find solace in your own adventures.”

“Come Closer,” “Prism,” and “Lifeforce,” his tune with legendary producer BT, all landed before the release of Solace and offered a glimpse at what would be in store. The other 11 tracks on the album bring even more depth, as Shingo Nakamura highlights life experiences by layering in emotion-fueled piano melodies, breathtaking atmospheres, and rich rhythms that keep the mind enticed.

Among the newly unveiled tunes is the album’s title track, which brings revered producer Mango and singer-songwriter Nina Carr into the mix for an uplifting ride. Other standouts include “Losing Touch” with LAR, “Take Me Away” with Jordin Post, and solo tracks “Longing For You,” “Blue Planet,” and “Golden Leaves,” making Solace feel like one of the most complete albums to surface in Nakamura’s discography.

Listen to Solace on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from Shingo Nakamura by following him on social media.
