The latest studio album from SOFI TUKKER, BREAD, is the duo’s most dynamic body of work to date with tunes that will leave your soul feeling full.

The rapid rise of SOFI TUKKER has been remarkable. The duo exploded into the scene’s forefront after delivering countless hit tracks on albums like Treehouse and WET TENNIS while bringing showstopping performances to stages at major festivals, nightclubs, and more along the way. But in the midst of their seemingly constant touring schedule, they’ve found time to create even more memorable tunes in 2024 and have now dropped their latest album, BREAD.

BREAD is a perfect snapshot into the genre-defying sound that SOFI TUKKER has championed over the years. The duo blends sonic elements from Brazilian Funk and pop to drum and bass and more, with vocals in multiple languages to create world-influence tracks that you can’t help but groove out to. This is a testament to the mantra behind BREAD, which SOFI TUKKER states is “a celebration of life and sensuality intended to give the listener energy, just like carbs.”

Much like the food that everyone gathers to eat together in some form, the ten tracks on this album are communal and will keep you energized on the dancefloor. SOFI TUKKER offered a first glimpse at the soundscapes on BREAD with the light-hearted “Throw Some Ass,” nostalgia-inducing “Spiral,” and airy bossa nova meets drum and bass tune “Hey Homie,” all of which quickly won over fans new and old alike. The dynamic range in these tunes is centered on Sophie’s vocals, but there’s so much more to explore in its runtime.

One of the immediate standouts on BREAD is “Woof” with Kah-Lo. This tune, which was first heard in its earliest form during their pandemic livestreams, features wicked guitar notes and a pop-driven ambiance. SOFI TUKKER welcomes the world with open arms on this one with its vocal range, as there are five languages spoken throughout its runtime: Portuguese, German, French, English, and Yoruba.

This is our personality. Sophie sings in four languages. I sing in a sarcastic deep voice. It has a guitar riff. It kind of reminds me of ‘Purple Hat,’ which is our biggest song, though ‘Woof’ is unique. It features our friend Kah-Lo, who’s an amazing Nigerian artist, and one of my favorite voices.

Other tunes you’ll find yourself spinning on the dancefloor include “Goddess In Disguise” with MC Bola, “Cafuné” with Channel Tres, and “Jacaré.” Each one of these brings vibrant horns and infectious grooves into the mix, masterfully blending different styles and bucking the trends found in much of the scene. And as the final seconds tick away, you’ll understand that BREAD is a whole-grain experience that will leave you feeling full.

Listen to BREAD on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from SOFI TUKKER by following them on social media.
