Ending his EDC set on a high note, Zedd surprised fans with the announcement of his third album release.
Zedd has been a staple in the electronic dance community for over a decade, and truly needs no introduction. Since his 2012 debut album, Clarity, the electro house DJ and his signature ticking clock have taken the world by storm. Over the years, Zedd has released numerous mainstream breaking, chart-topping hits and appeared at some of the world’s largest music festivals.
No stranger to the main stage, Zedd made his return to Kinetic Field at EDC Las Vegas this past weekend on May 18. As the beloved track “Clarity” built up to its final drop, drones displayed “Z3 8/30” above the crowd, announcing the long-awaited announcement of his third album. An official announcement was made on social media following EDC, revealing his third album title, Telos. Originating from the Ancient Greek word τέλος, the term was used by Aristotle to describe a final cause of human art, which is incredibly fitting for this labor of love.
It’s been nine years since fans could dive into a new Zedd album. Released in May 2015, True Colors boasted impressive collaborations including “Beautiful Now” with Jon Bellion and “I Want You to Know” featuring Selena Gomez. Since its release, Zedd has consistently dropped singles with prominent artists while teasing unreleased tracks in his live sets. Having played out IDs with Curbi and Mesto, we hope those make it out of the vault and end up on the album.
Be sure to pre-save Telos on your preferred streaming platform and subscribe to texts for more information regarding Zedd’s impending release!
