Gabriel & Dresden’s latest EP on Anjunabeats is a cinematic ride filled with raw, emotional energy that’s perfect for the dancefloor.

Gabriel & Dresden have achieved legendary status in the dance music scene with a career spanning decades and countless hit tracks. While their journey has been quite a roller coaster, they’ve found a way to continuously tug at the heartstrings of hungry trance and progressive house lovers. Yet their gorgeous soundscapes aren’t just for sitting back and listening to, though, as Gabriel & Dresden also love club-ready tunes you can dance deep into the night to.

The duo’s most monumental releases over the past decade have landed on Anjunabeats, and that’s exactly where they’ve delivered Kinetic Cinema, a stunning four-track collection that showcases their dynamic nature. “The Kinetic Cinema EP is our chance to celebrate club music for the dance floor in a variety of styles,” Gabriel & Dresden said about the release. “Each track was created with an ear toward giving you that cinematic emotional journey while delivering raw techno rhythms to satisfy the urge to lose yourself.”

The title track kicks everything off with a touch of trance, quickly propelling listeners forward as they begin a journey that will take them to the stars. Angelic vocals play in contrast to the dominating build on this one, leading directly into an explosive, energetic drop that lets you release every emotion that you might have bottled up. As the outro of “Kinetic Cinema” refreshingly sweeps you away, you’ll quickly find yourself gliding through the soundscape of the next tune, “The Clearing.”

If Gabriel & Dresden showed off how powerful trance could be on the lead track, then it’s clear their goal was to do the same with progressive house on the second. “The Clearing” is a gem of a tune that offers lighter, airy elements that swirl in the mind while still showing off the deeper, darker side of the genre. The synths on this track are beautiful, but right after that moment, you can breathe and feel like you’re floating; they kick up the energy to build into a heavy drop that consumes every ounce of your soul. It’s dominating yet comforting at the same time.

The ride into the progressive house realm doesn’t stop yet, though, as “Between The Lines” enters the fray with its bumpy bassline that carries you deeper into the night. This one hypnotizes the mind as you’re wrapped up in the warm embrace of the driving elements layered throughout. There’s still plenty of power on this one as you trudge forward into a different state of mind, giving a sense you’re about to reach a climatic moment in life.

Just then, “Bias 2.0” kicks into full gear to grapple you into submission. The original version of this track was a solo release from Gabriel & Dresden in 2022, and although many of the same elements appear in the new version, it punches you with energy from the jump for a twist on the ride and doesn’t let up. It’s a solid techno-ridden send-off that will keep filling crowds with energy for some time to come.

Listen to Kinetic Cinema on Spotify or your preferred platform, and don’t miss your chance to catch them on tour in a city near you.
