One of the biggest festivals in the world, EDC Las Vegas, is just days away. Dance music fans, new and old, are making their last-minute preparations before venturing to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 17-19. Unofficially dubbed the “Super Bowl of EDM,” Insomniac pulls out all the stops in creating this electrifying haven for headliners, also known as their devoted fans.
Not only attendees are amped up ahead of EDCLV, though. Artists dream of performing at this festival one day, with many working for years to get there. Even top acts once had their start at the festival. A roster of heavy hitters and impressive newcomers are slated on the lineup for this year, and artists can’t wait to take over the decks.
Wanting to dive into an artist’s perspective of performing under the electric sky, we caught up with MANDY, Blastoyz, Clawz, Noizu, LAYZ, and JEANIE ahead of EDC Las Vegas. Keep reading to learn what the festival means to them, what fans can expect from their set and more. Be sure to give them a follow, too!
Limited GA+ and Sunday Only passes are currently available for EDC Las Vegas. GA and VIP passes are sold out. Visit their official website for more information or to purchase your passes.

What does playing EDC Las Vegas mean to you?
Well, EDC Las Vegas surely is one of the biggest and boldest festivals on the planet, so obviously, I’m flattered to be a part of the 2024 edition. I receive a lot of support from the U.S. crowds, so I will make sure to show them my gratitude and make it a show to remember!
Have you attended the festival in the past? If so, do you have a favorite memory?
Not yet, unfortunately. So, being there and playing for the first time in Vegas makes it extra special.
What can fans expect from your set at EDC Las Vegas this year?
I will bring my A game for sure. After my first show with Insomniac last October in Los Angeles, I was overwhelmed by the positive energy and vibes of the crowd. We’re working on a lot of new music, originals, remixes, and special edits to make it a set to blow off everyone’s socks!
Blastoyz
What does playing EDC Las Vegas mean to you?
Las Vegas and the USA, in general, have been my biggest gigging dreams since I was a kid. My first-ever show in Las Vegas was at EDC 2018. It was amazing, and I couldn’t believe it was happening. I was awake for over 24 hours after my show because of the adrenaline and euphoria I had been feeling that day!
Have you attended the festival in the past? If so, do you have a favorite memory?
I played 2018, 2022, and 2023. In 2022, I replaced another artist who couldn’t make it at the last minute. I had two or three days’ notice, which was hard to make logistically as I was touring in Europe the same weekend. People saw me there and they were extremely surprised as I was not on the lineup. They remind me to this day how they just found out by seeing me on stage. They were all so stoked!
What can fans expect from your set at EDC Las Vegas this year?
Bringing the psytrance fusion power, with plenty of new music that I will play for the first time and a special guest joining me on stage for it! I’m very excited, and I can’t wait to see everyone on the dancefloor for the EDC reunion!
Clawz
What does paying EDC Las Vegas mean to you?
To me, playing EDC Las Vegas means dreams are reality. The festival itself seems like a dream, with crazy art installations, unimaginable stage designs, and performances out of this world. It doesn’t feel real, but the minute you walk in, it’s as real as ever. The first time I attended and looked up at the stage, I dreamed of being up there one day. This year, that dream is a reality as I’ll be taking the stage, showcasing neorave and hard techno to the world and hopefully inspiring others to turn their dream into reality, too.
What can fans expect from your set at EDC Las Vegas this year?
They can expect insane energy from start to finish. I’m going to play hard, fast, insane drops, as well as big acid leads, and I’ll bring my unique style of neorave techno to the big stage. There will be moments of euphoria, heavy bass, and crazy kicks. Fans can also expect to hear many of my unreleased tracks! I can’t wait to dance like crazy with everyone there!

What does playing EDC Las Vegas mean to you?
EDCLV is definitely a milestone for any DJ out there. It’s an amazing experience and a great place to test new songs. It’s always a highlight of the year for me.
Have you attended the festival in the past? If so, do you have a favorite memory?
I’ve been there three times now. There are these famously long stairs that go to the artist’s area. Last time, I had a few too many shots with Wax Motif and fell down them…
What can fans expect from your set at EDC Las Vegas this year?
I’m doing a b3b with Melé and Westend for the opening ceremony. That’s going to be a really different set, as we all play slightly differently, but I can’t wait for how that turns out. For my solo set at stereoBLOOM, I’m going to do a pure Noizu set with unreleased IDs from myself and my label, Techne!
LAYZ
What does playing EDC Las Vegas mean to you?
Some of the sets that got me deep into the dubstep scene were EDCLV bassPOD sets that I found on SoundCloud, so coming back to play on this stage years later is a dream come true! I played an art car back in 2021 and told myself I wouldn’t play again until I’m on bassPOD, and here we are. I’m so thrilled to be back playing this year on a key stage!
Have you attended the festival in the past? If so, do you have a favorite memory?
The first time I went to EDC in 2021 has to be it! Granted, I was only there for a few hours before I had to get on a flight to play another show, but those few hours were amazing. Not only was it my first time attending the festival, but it was also my first time performing there! I played on the ForestHouse art car (for Welcome Records’ takeover), and I was so nervous going up against the huge names, but my wonderful fans showed up and packed it out! There were so many memorable moments — such as Sullivan King bringing me up to play our collab, hearing Excision play my song on circuitGROUNDS, and being blown away by the stages, production and just pure size of the festival!
What can fans expect from your set at EDC Las Vegas this year?
I’m so excited for my EDC set! Expect a whole new set, new music, VIPs, and new edits! Can’t wait to bring the storm to the bassPOD!
