A new chapter begins for Desert Hearts Festival with Ardalan, Life On Planets, Öona Dahl, Rinzen, and more bringing the beats to Playa Ponderosa!
It’s been a rocky year since the heart-dropping cancellation of Desert Hearts Festival in 2023, forcing the party to move from Lake Perris to the LA Coliseum. Since then, Mikey Lion and the crew have been working hard to find the perfect place to convene again. Ultimately, they chose Playa Ponderosa in Flagstaff, Arizona, and today, the lineup has officially been revealed!
On July 4-8, in partnership with Walter Productions of Burning Man fame, Desert Hearts Festival will come to life with the sounds of house, techno, and indie electronic. Not only will attendees witness co-founders Mikey Lion, Marbs, Lee Reynolds, and Porky do what they do best, but returning acts like Ardalan, VNSSA, Rinzen, and Lubelski will make fresh memories with fans.
In addition, Walker & Royce will drop by after a massively successful US tour, and from there, the talent continues to run deep. Artists like Atish, Öona Dahl, Ky William, and Coco & Breezy will be heading over from the Big Apple, along with Desert Hearts Black co-founder Evan Casey, Kevin Knapp, Mary Droppinz, Tara Brooks, and more.
The excitement is brewing across the pond as well. Ready to bring you into their world are Anja Schneider, Gorje Hewek, and Mira flying in from Germany, not to mention England’s Nick Warren. If the lineup didn’t look perfect already, Desert Hearts has tossed in a must-see back-to-back between Andy Immerman and Joey Burton, as well as two live sets from COLOR.LOVE and SHADED.
At many festivals, set conflicts accompany stellar lineups. But there is no need to fret because Desert Hearts Festival is returning to its roots with a “one-stage, one-vibe” format. All you have to worry about is getting lost in unique sounds as you bask in the beauty of the Coconino National Forest.
Above all else, if you’re looking to flex your dance moves morning, noon, or night, Mikey Lion pointed out, “We’re essentially programming a 72-hour DJ set with the right artists playing the right music at the right time.” So bring your most comfortable shoes and some extra electrolytes!
