Peggy Gou's Gudu Records Drops 'Gudu & Friends Vol. 2'

**A year after releasing Gudu & Friends Vol. 1, Gudu Records has dropped the second installment of the series, which features Hiver, Alinka, Mogwaa, and more!**

Last year, Peggy Gou’s label, Gudu Records, launched the Gudu & Friends compilation series, which featured talents like DMX Krew, Closet Yi, Hiver, Salamanda, and Brian de Palma. Now, the saga continues with the second volume in the series, ensuring the vibrant display of international artistry continues!

Gudu & Friends Vol. 2 features nine fresh tunes from new artists, including Alinka, Gina Breeze, Jordan Nocturne (featuring Coco Cole), Minju, and Nyra. Others from the Gudu family who are re-appearing in the series for this round include Hiver, Dukwa, Matisa, and Mogwaa. The latter of those four dropped “Arctica” in April to give listeners a taste of the soundscapes that would be present on the compilation.

Known for his energetic style, Mogwaa’s track starts with percussion, leading into smooth synths and drums, building up to an exciting bass drop that captivates listeners throughout its seven-minute duration. With that track setting the tone, the rest of the compilation is exceptional, with standouts including Minju’s “‘90s Street,” Hiver’s “Drama,” and Nyra’s “Every Night You.”

Beyond the music, the Gudu & Friends series shows off artwork that aligns with the Lunar New Year, with this year’s cover featuring a dragon that was designed by Jin Young Choi. This illustration complements the album’s wide range of multicultural tunes, taking listeners on a diverse and mythical journey.
