Ship Wrek Dives Into Recent Collab with Dillon Francis

Ship Wrek just released new tunes with Dillon Francis, and they dropped by to talk about collaborating with him, their upcoming performances, and more!

Los Angeles-based artists Tripp Churchill and Collin Maguire, known as Ship Wrek, have been making waves in the electronic music scene since the duo first came together in 2019. What started as a future bass project has evolved into one focused on delivering dancefloor-ready house tracks with rolling basslines and alluring vocals.

Last year, Ship Wrek dropped some serious heat with tracks like “Jumpstarter” with DLMT, “The Function,” and “Peace Of Mind” with Disco Lines and Daya, while also playing the coveted kineticFIELD stage at EDC Las Vegas, among other festival appearances. The duo is set on continuing their path to the top of the scene this year, especially now that they’re both living in Santa Monica. “We have studios in our place, so we’re constantly working together. It’s great,” they shared.

Ship Wrek is fresh off the release of “Stardust” and their trip to Miami Music Week, where they played at events like Mixmash Records‘ pool party. “It was a nonstop party,” they said while reflecting on the massive week. “We got to debut a bunch of new music and hang with all of our DJ homies. It was so good; we had a blast.” But that wasn’t all that the duo had in store, as they just dropped a banging two-tracker with fellow fun-loving artist Dillon Francis.

The duo’s newest release, Whole Lotta Drugs / Over The Edge, offers two distinct soundscapes, yet both will surely get your feet moving along with them. Ship Wrek and Dillon Francis are no strangers to each other, as they teamed up in 2020 for “It’s My House” and last year saw them drop off “Night In Milan,” which took the scene by storm.

Ship Wrek and Dillon Francis

Dillon [Francis] has been one of our biggest supporters throughout our career. We’ve been lucky to work with him, and the songs that came out yesterday are our third and fourth collaborations. He always shows us fun new plugins and toys to play and produce with.

The future is looking bright for Ship Wrek as they set sail into the rest of the year with their unique sound in tow. The duo is set to take the stage at Goldenvoice’s massive country festival Stagecoach later this month and has more in store for their fans. “We’re going B2B with Dillon Francis at the Honky Tonk and our set will be more lighthearted and fun,” they shared. “We’ll have some of our favorite country songs and remixes, as well as a bunch of new/unreleased stuff mixed in there.”

Beyond that festival appearance in April, they also have a headlining set at Shipwrecks Festival in San Diego on May 4 with The Sponges and Chapter & Verse. Ship Wrek also shared “We’re also working on a sick rebrand and also have a ton of cool projects coming on the music front,” so keep your eyes and ears peeled for more to be revealed.

Give Whole Lotta Drugs / Over The Edge a listen on Spotify or your preferred platform, grab tickets to Shipwrecks Festival in San Diego, and follow Ship Wrek for more releases and show announcements.
