Insomniac solidified its dominating nightlife presence in Southern California by announcing they’ve officially partnered with AVALON Hollywood.
AVALON Hollywood has been one of the most iconic music venues in Los Angeles for decades and has played host to countless performances from legends in rock, hip-hop, pop, R&B, and more. During the EDM boom, it became a hub for electronic artists in all stages of their careers to showcase their sounds to hungry ravers while acting as a beacon of light for genres like trance and techno in years when those were less popular.
Dance music lovers have spent countless nights and early mornings in AVALON Hollywood’s two distinct rooms. Now, the venue, which was founded by John Lyons, will add a new chapter to its rich history with the news that Insomniac has officially partnered with the revered space.
Those with a keen eye might’ve seen the logos of Insomniac’s brands, such as Dreamstate and Lost In Dreams, on flyers for shows at the venue toward the end of 2023 and earlier this year. Emo Nite, another brand that has entered into a creative partnership with Insomniac, has also consistently hosted shows at AVALON Hollywood.
While Markus Schulz, Giuseppe Ottaviani, and Nurko have already performed at AVALON Hollywood with Insomniac’s backing, the newly-minted partnership kicked off this past weekend when Kaskade made his way to the venue and played to a sold-out crowd. For the rest of the spring and summer, Insomniac will produce evening programming and special one-off events throughout the week, giving a new home to brands like Bassrush, Basscon, Factory 93, HARD, and more.
Upcoming events brought to life by Insomniac at AVALON Hollywood in March include nights featuring Riot Ten and Tchami. Other artists, including Cristoph, JSTJR, Barely Alive, Paul Van Dyk, Paco Osuna, Ghengar, and more, are slated to play from April to July. More shows are expected to be announced in the coming weeks via their official website.
This move by Insomniac is the latest step forward in their plans to dominate the festival and nightlife scene across the country. AVALON Hollywood joins other clubs with which the company has entered into partnerships or owns outright, such as Exchange LA, Academy LA, NOVA SD, TIME Nightclub, Echostage, and Club Space. Their partnership with this venue also arrives alongside Insomniac’s acquisition of Bloom, which has doubled the brand’s presence in downtown San Diego.
