Anjunadeep Serves Up the Sounds of South Africa on New Compilation

Anjunadeep South Africa features seven stunning soundscapes, prepping fans for Open Air weekend in Johannesburg and Cape Town!

It’s an exciting time for the Anjunafam, not only because Above & Beyond just announced ABGT600 in Mexico City, but because we have brand-new music to enjoy! It goes by the name of Anjunadeep South Africa and transports listeners to a region where culture transforms into lush, melodic frequencies.

Throughout the EP, you’ll come in contact with a collection of tastemakers and trailblazers like award-winning producer and platinum-selling artist Karyendasoul and the Cape Town collective Bantwanas. Listeners will also recognize the stylings of DJ Buhle as she’s fresh off her Anjunadeep Edition 488 guest mix.

In addition, selections like Heavy-K and Ami Faku‘s “Andikayeki,” “Just B.U” by BOKKIEULT, and “Solitude” by Cornelius SA and Sebee will leave revelers with no choice but to get up and move, bodies driven by jovial percussion, enlivening vocals, and awe-inspiring electronic character.

Now that we’ve covered the music, it’s time to look forward to the future on the dancefloor.

On March 3, the Anjunafam is invited to celebrate with DJ Buhle, Cornelius SA, Fka Mash, Karyendasoul, and local supporting acts at Katy’s Palace Bar in Johannesburg. The proceeds from the EP launch party will be donated to the Soul Candi Institute of Music, which has trained African musicians in production and technology for the last two decades.

But the fun doesn’t stop here. It’s almost time for Anjunadeep Open Air South Africa, running from March 29-30 at The River Cabin in Johannesburg and The Ostrich in Cape Town. Ben Böhmer, James Grant, Jody Wisternoff, Da Capo, Nicky Elisabeth, and more will be bringing the beats, and tickets are still available!
