Movement Detroit has begun to pull the curtain up on the lineup, announcing Fatboy Slim, Joseph Capriati, Solomun, and more!
Movement Music Festival in Detroit may still be months away, but the energy it’s emitting is already palpable. Come May 25-27, music lovers from around the globe will converge riverside at Hart Plaza to bask in the beats of the techno and house variety. While this year’s edition of Movement Detroit is in the early stages of planning, the organizers have delivered a spicy treat in the form of a lineup teaser!
A total of 20 acts have been revealed on the Movement Detroit lineup, including house legends like Gorgon City, Skream, and Fatboy Slim, who just embarked on the road to the Best Of Remixes EP. Also included in this list are Grammy award-winning DJ/producer and fashionista Honey Dijon, deep tech icon Solomun, and LP Giobbi, the FEMME HOUSE pioneer and a trailblazer for women and LGBTQ+ creators.
Moving over to the techno side of life, hard fanatics will feel right at home with 999999999 and I Hate Models. In addition, the queen of the Palestinian techno scene, Sama’ Abdulhadi, Redimension Boss Joseph Capriati, and Detroit’s own DJ Minx will be stepping up to the decks.
There are also a few unique flavors to enjoy as well. The duo known as Mount Kimbie is the perfect example, slinging out indie synth-pop that’ll get you grooving without a care in the world. UK-based musician, singer, and songwriter James Blake will also be flexing his skills, delivering a wide variety of electronic soundwaves.
