SITA Evolves With Her Debut EP, 'GENERACION XDISIS'

Outside the music realm, she’s known as Sita Abellán — creator of the Vogue-supported Lilith jewelry line, a Fendi and Faith Connexion collaborator, and pop culture celebrity stylist. From sought-after fashionista to bold beatmaker, DJ, and creator of the LGBTQ+ techno party series OUTOPIA, SITA is ready to take over the world. Today she delivers her debut EP, GENERACION XDISIS!

Not only is her four-track EP available on Héctor Oaks’ KAOS imprint, but this exhilarating techno journey comes with a cool concept: mutation, evolution, and shedding skin. This is a direct reflection of SITA’s lived experience as she traverses the music industry and beyond.

This EP represents for me an artistic evolution, a journey into the deepest parts of my being. It’s about sharing myself through my music, authentic communication, and a manifestation of my ever-evolving best self.

Her innate understanding and respect for the pioneering sounds of techno around the globe can be felt through every beat. Styles like early 2000s Euro house and the Ruta del Bakalao techno era of ‘90s Valencia had a heavy impact on GENERACION XDISIS. Transporting back even further, listeners will find hints of Belgian new beat from the ‘80s while also encountering modern-day Berlin techno.

“DIABLA” is up first, and there’s no way anyone can remain seated for this one. It holds the most energy of the lot, slapping the senses with its heavy beat, trancey melody, breathy vocals, and vivid industrial elements. “333” follows in its wake. While the heated vocals proclaim, “There’s a mirror speaking inside my head, it tells me, stay alive, but I’d rather, I’d rather be dead,” the playful beat balances out its emotional palette.

“XTASIS CARNAL” drops listeners deeper and demands attention with the message, “There is no night, there is no day, only the waste of your mouth and mine.” Let that swish around your brain for a bit as the bouncy rhythm envelopes your body. The hypnotic vibrations of “VENENO” are the last to arrive. This track holds listeners in the pocket with beeping tones and a racing bassline, leaving the dancefloor breathless and begging for more.
