Legendary duo Cosmic Gate looked back on the year and spun up a special two-hour sunset mix at Odin in Beirut to showcase their favorite tunes.
Winter is the season for reflection as the temperatures drop and everyone huddles inside for warmth, and that’s exactly what Cosmic Gate has done this year as well. While the iconic duo is gearing up to take the stage at Decadence in Colorado and Arizona this coming weekend, there was something else that they had their sights set on before the end of the year: a mix celebrating their favorite tunes that were released in 2023.
In true Cosmic Gate fashion, their Best of 2023 Set wouldn’t just be a run-of-the-mill experience for those tuning in. Instead, they made their way to Odin in Beirut and teamed up with director Rawad Attieh to make the performance an audio-visual delight. As the Cosmic Gate plays the two-hour-long set during the sunset filled with house, techno, and trance, you can catch gorgeous drone shots of the surrounding area that will sweep you off your feet and make you feel as if you’re soaring to the heavens.
Found in the mix are some of the most stunning tracks that were released this year from artists like Leaving Laurel, Tinlicker, Joseph Ray, Joris Voorn, Gorgon City, Kevin de Vries & Mau P, Anyma & Rebūke, AVIRA & Maxim Lany, &ME & Black Coffee, and more. Of course, Cosmic Gate layered in some of their own tunes as well, including “Just The Beginning” with Nathan Nicholson, “The Truth 2.0,” “Mirador,” and Anunnakis‘ remix of their track “am2pm.”
