Dive into the latest volume of Solid Grooves Raw’s Raw Grooves compilation, where minimal house meets its deepest and most rhythmic expressions.

Under the stewardship of Michael Bibi and PAWSA, Solid Grooves Raw has established itself as a beacon for aficionados of deep, unadulterated dance music. Their latest compilation, Raw Grooves, Vol. 5, emerges as a masterclass in minimal house, encapsulating the label’s hallmark of dark grooves. This eight-track compilation harmoniously blends contributions from established artists and emerging talents, each adding their unique flair to the minimal house genre. The collection delves into the darker recesses of the genre, offering an immersive experience that’s pure and unfiltered.

Raw Grooves, Vol. 5 opens with Alvaro AM’s “Pay For The Acid,” a quintessential groover featuring an acid synth line that commands attention. This track sets a high standard, perfectly embodying the label’s ethos. Bassel Darwish follows with “Point In Time,” a minimalist masterpiece characterized by subtle yet impactful vocal chops. Darwish’s ability to balance simplicity with sonic depth makes this track a standout in the compilation. Blackchild’s “Once Upon a Groove” continues the journey with a fun drum line and engaging breakdown.

Next, Carloh’s “Tchutchuca” captivates with its creatively panned vocal chops and a satisfying drop, demonstrating innovative sound design and dynamic progression. Chmploo adds “Doomed” to the mix, a track where glitches and percussions create unique textures, highlighting the depth and creativity inherent in minimal house. And Marcellus’ “Roll the Dice” stands out with its irresistible bassline, embodying the rhythmic, deep, and danceable essence of Solid Grooves Raw.

Ramin Rezaie’s “Days Off” brings a slightly more minimalistic approach to the compilation but remains a fun, dancefloor-friendly tune, reflecting Rezaie’s deep understanding of the genre. Concluding the compilation, Zaren and Iicchigo’s “Pushh” masterfully blends glitchy vocals with a dark, heavy kick drum, epitomizing the distinctive sound of the label for a fitting close.

This compilation is not just a collection of individual tracks but a curated journey. Each artist contributes to a narrative that echoes the core identity of Solid Grooves Raw – a dedication to the darker, groove-driven side of minimal house. This compilation is a testament to the label’s commitment to showcasing the full spectrum of dance music talent, from the intricate and deep to the innovative and energetic.
