Deorro presents the next chapter of electro corridos with the reimagination of the iconic record, “Camarón Pelao,” together with Voces Del Rancho.
Deorro has been working on elevating the unique space he’s carved for himself within the dance music scene for several years. With each release, his signature style combining Latin and dance music into one cohesive unit continues to grow into a massive movement that calls for unity from two seemingly unrelated genres.
Recently, Deorro has been riding a wave of momentum following two banging records: “Yo Las Pongo” with Los Tucanes de Tijuana and Maffio and his viral remix of “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma. There was no name for this emerging hybrid genre that the beloved artist championed, but fans can finally identify this excellent combination as electro corridos.
As Deorro’s latest creation begins to take shape, he’s proud to present the latest installment in the story of electro corridos with a brand-new collaboration with Voces Del Rancho, “Camarón Pelao.” Of course, this is a remake of the historic record originally recorded by Los Polifacéticos and re-introduced into the mainstream by Banda El Recodo in 2005.
I had the opportunity to revamp a classic song that I grew up with thanks to Voces Del Rancho for allowing me to hop on. This one is for the culture – I hope everyone enjoys it.

Fans of both Deorro and Banda El Recodo will instantly recognize the upbeat tempo and iconic lyrics reimagined by Voces Del Rancho. Both drops showcase the distinguishing sound Deorro is known for with big kicks, distorted synths, and bouncy atmospheres. Paired with a music video highlighting Latino party culture at the carne asadas, this record represents Deorro’s new direction and is a clear indicator of the future of his project.
Deorro’s unmatched ability to seamlessly mix Latin and dance music continues to stand tall. While it may seem like he’s just having a bit of fun, there’s much more to these tunes than their face value. Recreating these iconic records allows fans to dive into something new but easily digestible, accessible, and familiar enough to give it a try.
