Q-dance hosted The Kick-Off livestream to reveal new information about Defqon.1 2024, including the theme, anthem creators, and more!
After a wildly successful edition of Defqon.1 Weekend Festival back in June, Q-dance wasted no time creating the hype for next year’s edition with the announcement of ticket sales just two weeks after The Closing Ceremony. Once again, the journey back to the motherland of hard dance has begun, and this latest edition is already shaping up to be great. During the livestream, Q-dance revealed new information about the theme and anthem creators for the 2024 edition, premiered POWER HOUR 2023, and more.
While 2023 was all about embarking on the Path of the Warrior, 2024 continues the epic journey and unites Weekend Warriors to show off the Power of the Tribe. Audiofreq said this year’s theme “perfectly symbolizes the unity, energy, and passion of [the] scene,” dedicated solely to Weekend Warriors. This year is the time to unite as one and continue to prove that hard dance is home to the most dedicated crowd in the universe.
The anthem creators were revealed to be none other than euphoric hardstyle heavyweights Sound Rush! This duo has earned and deserved this enormous honor as they’ve climbed through the ranks to get to the top of the hardstyle mountain. From releasing their debut album, Brothers, to launching their label, Destination, and creating the anthem for the UV stage last year along with Atmozfears, this was the most obvious choice for anthem creators and a great opportunity to solidify their legacy.
The announcements didn’t stop there as Q-dance also dropped major news, saying that the mighty RED will open up earlier than in previous years as The Closing Ceremony will start two hours earlier. In addition, Weekend Warriors will be treated to all the iconic moments of Defqon.1, like The Endshow, POWER HOUR, and The Spotlight, which has been promised to belong to a certain artist who has seemingly done it all at the festival.
Finally, Q-dance announced many ticket options along with Travel & Stay packages. If you plan to attend the festival, ensure these three important dates are on your radar. On October 24, Travel & Stay packages become available for all Weekend Warriors. On October 26, DEDIQATED members will have access to an early sale of Defqon.1 tickets. And on October 28, general ticket sales begin at 1PM CEST (4AM PT).
This is a lot of information to digest, but don’t fret! Weekend Warriors can now access all available options on the Q-dance website and create a wish list.
