LUPA Welcomes Spooky Season with an Acid Techno Mix

Rising phenom LUPA channels the fall months into her energetic mix that’s filled to the brim with pure techno heat.

Techno is gaining significant ground in the scene, and LUPA is one of the artists from the next generation who’s helping guide the way with her impressive releases that will leave you immersed. From the deeper, vocal-infused tracks found on EPs like Born A Beast to captivating collaborations like “God Complex” with SGAR, she’s quickly carved out space for her unique twist on techno and is taking no prisoners along the way.

Last month saw LUPA continue her dive into the depths of the subterranean techno realm with two fresh tracks that found a home on mau5trap, “The Eight-Six” and “Acid Superspeedway.” Both saw the blossoming artist dig deeper into her love for layering in acid tones and fast-paced beats as she successfully provided the jolt of energy that any underground lover needed to get through the final days of summer. But fall has arrived, and LUPA has entered her true form once again.

The cooler and spookier fall months hold a special place in LUPA’s heart. “I love the summer, but autumn is the best season. From Halloween to the colorful leaves, to pumpkin-flavored everything, I look forward to the fall every year,” she said. “As the sun goes down earlier and earlier in the day, I find myself staying more creative through the evening and being inspired by the changing of the seasons.” And with that in mind, she’s spun up a mix that’s brimming with spooky season techno vibes.

LUPA lays heavily into the speedier side of techno and kicks your engine into gear from the jump with an edit of “Super Acidespeedway” that will have you falling in love when the acid tones wash over you. That edit inspired her to dig deep into her collection of hard acid techno heaters from the likes of cnmd, 66hz, JACKO, encoded data, and more, with her saying, “As I played, my roommates started dancing along in the kitchen and begging me to play faster and harder techno. I hope you enjoy!”
