Portola Festival is finally upon us, so we’ve gathered all the information you’ll need for smooth sailing all weekend, including the set times and more.

Electronic dance music aficionados are surely reeling with excitement this week, as the time has come for Portola Music Festival to make its grand return for year two. Brought to you by Goldenvoice, the festival returns to its home at San Francisco’s Pier 80 for two nights of electronic music unlike any other festival hosted in America. While putting together your best outfits and making tough decisions about schedule conflicts may feel like the priority, it’s also important to be prepared for the weather and know what you can and can’t bring inside the festival.

This year’s lineup sees Portola host international artists and legends such as Labrinth, Skrillex, Thundercat, Barry Can’t Swim, Carl Cox, Charlotte De Witte, Cobrah, Purple Disco Machine, Eric Prydz, Overmono, and many more. The artists will once again be split into four stages: the Pier, the Crane, the Warehouse, and the Ship. While some might be concerned about the overcrowding that occurred in the Warehouse last year, we’ve been assured by Portola’s founder, Danny Bell, that Goldenvoice is more than prepared for that this year. Regardless, it’s always good to come prepared, so be sure to download the Portola app and plan your weekend accordingly!

This year, Portola is even going as far as providing free Wi-Fi zones in partnership with Aleo. So there’s no reason to lose your belongings or friends and ruin your weekend! Get your best dancing shoes ready and continue reading for all the essential information you need below. You can also grab any last-minute passes via the official Portola website or check out all the parties happening throughout the week and after parties during the weekend as well.

Reminder To Mind Your Belongings:

Unfortunately, many people have reported pickpockets, bag slashings, and theft of wallets, smartphones, purses, and other valuables during this festival season. While this small number of bad apples in the bunch doesn’t define an entire crowd, some opportunistic people come to these events to take advantage of unsuspecting partygoers, and it’s important to be mindful of your valuables while at Portola.

Looking for tips to keep your belongings safe? Check our post highlighting some ideas!
