Ultra Music Festival looks back on their experience this year with the release of their official aftermovie that pays homage to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Each March, Ultra Music Festival kicks the festival season into gear in Miami with their multi-day, multi-stage experience that draws in dance music lovers from all over the globe. This year was no different, with the latest edition not just bringing heavy hitters in the scene like Swedish House Mafia, Martin Garrix, Carl Cox, Zedd, and more to the stage but also being a home for unique experiences like Eric Pydz’s HOLO and a number of special b2b performances and new project launches.
It didn’t take long after the dust settled from the recent edition of Ultra Music Festival for the energy to pick back up, as initial tickets went on sale soon after the final beats dropped at Miami’s Bayfront Park. Now, just a few short months later, they’re beginning to rev their engines once again with some exciting visuals that will make attendees yearn for their next trip to South Florida. The first taste arrived earlier this month when RESISTANCE Miami released their aftermovie highlighting the happenings at M2 during Miami Music Week and Race Week, and now, UMF has dropped their own aftermovie to stir excitement.
ULTRA: VICE CITY is available for your viewing pleasure on YouTube and sees the festival pay homage to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City along the way. The 16-minute video sees them channel elements from the video game’s third-person style as viewers follow the protagonist, Nick, who makes his way through Miami. Eventually, he finds his way to Ultra Music Festival, where he needs to complete some missions assisting artists and others so that he can then party it up. Shots of the festival are layered in along with cinematic cutscenes to make this video one that’s truly unique.
