World-famous EDM artist Rezz has opened a window into her personal life to share especially momentous news. The IT’S NOT A PHASE producer has announced that she is engaged to be married with fellow artist fknsyd.
“I’m engaged,” wrote Rezz (real name Isabelle Rezazadeh) in social media posts. “I have had a flawless experience being with my perfect Syd this past few years. We have kept things quite private, but I wanted to share this with you all. I’m the luckiest to be with the cutest, intellectual, sweetest, empathetic, funniest, earthy, talented, angelic girl.”
Rezazadeh first rose to fame in 2015 for her signature dark midtempo sound after earning an audience with Mau5trap label boss deadmau5. Following successful EPs like The Silence is Deafening and Something Wrong Here, she delivered her first studio-length album, Mass Manipulation, in 2017. Last year, she launched her own label called HypnoVizion Records.
fknsyd has also featured as a vocalist on tracks by the likes of SLANDER, RL Grime, and Manila Killa. She has released experimental solo works such as “Loving Observer,” 2020’s covers for no reason at all, and this year’s Taste.test.
In February of this year, Rezazadeh first publicly shared that she had started a new relationship a year and a half prior without sharing the identity of her significant other. The two have collaborated on songs like “Let Me In” and the Eurythmics cover “Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).” Rezazadeh had previously dated bass music artist Lucii, but the two quietly ended their relatively much more public relationship sometime in late 2020 or early 2021.
Rezz and fknsyd have yet to share any details of their upcoming wedding ceremony at the time of writing.
