Café Mambo and Absolut have partnered up to give rising DJs a chance to perform on the party-centric island of Ibiza!
Are you a DJ trying to make a name for yourself in the wild world of electronic dance music? Do you dream about making the masses move on the beautiful island of Ibiza? Are you down for a little competition? Then we have the news for you! Café Mambo, in partnership with the delicious premier vodka brand Absolut, has unveiled the details for their annual DJ competition!
When it comes to the vast array of party spots in Ibiza, Café Mambo has become world renowned for its stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s the place to be when the sun begins to dip below the horizon, casting a bright orange glow across both water and land. Since the ’90s, people have been dashing to this hotspot. Now, you have a chance to become part of its rich history.
The competition requires each contestant to produce a 30-minute mix showcasing their unique sound and mixing prowess. All the guidelines for uploading and tagging can be found on the competition page. The prize is extensive. It includes the opportunity to play a sunset set during September or October of 2023, flight and hotel accommodations for you and a friend, daily breakfast at Café Mambo, a masterclass with one of the venue’s resident DJs, and so much more!
Judging will also be completed by Café Mambo resident DJs, including Jason Bye, Andy Baxter, Danny O, Sara de Araújo, and Ryan McDermott. Take note: Judges will look at the number of plays, positive feedback, originality, suitability for a sunset set, track selection, and artists’ ability to use Mixcloud and other social media platforms to promote themselves.
