As the sixth edition of Elements Festival approaches, featured artist Gab Rhome drops in a fun and funky playlist to get you in the mood.

For 2023, Elements Festival enters its 6th edition and continues to morph and grow, adapting to the ever-diverse desires of fans. Last year marked a huge venue change after issues prevented the 2021 edition from being the best it could be. This year organizers are doubling down on the Pocono Raceway venue while reconfiguring the map based on attendee feedback. For example, campers will be treated to an improved layout with more grass while still having access to infrastructure like flushing toilets and water stations.

Another change this year is to the stages and theme camps. In addition to the traditional elements-themed stages of Fire, Earth, Air, and Water, the organizers have brought back the Wub Stage for the first time in many years. We can expect a lot of experimental bass and similar vibes from the Wub Stage. This edition also marks the arrival of Vibe Villages in an effort to formalize the Burning Man-style theme camps that are a huge part of the Elements experience.

Meanwhile, as the first and second phases of the lineups were announced, some standout names appeared. While many notable headliners appeared, we were most interested in the standout undercard. One of those names is Gab Rhome, and he is gifting us today with an Elements-themed mix that has us chair dancing as we write this.

Gab Rhome hails from the small village of Hallstatt, Austria, where he developed a love for bowties and mountain climbing. In 1982, his first ascent of Kilimanjaro inspired the EPs that would ultimately launch his music career much later in 2014. His self-identified “dreamy and melodic house” style features elements from so many other genres like tribal and disco. Whatever genre he layers in, Gab Rhome’s releases are always warm, soulful, and full of inspiration to get you up and moving on the dance floor. Ever the consummate performer, Gab puts on quite a show behind the decks, exuding his passion for the music he shares.

I believe in improvisation when it comes to performing in front of an audience because it allows for the artist to blend in with the event and offer something that truly reflects the moment. This being said, there are a few tracks that somehow find their way in most of my sets, and you can find some of them in this playlist.
