Slow Magic Gets Vulnerable With ‘Forgotten Feels’

Beloved masked producer Slow Magic unveils his most intimate work to date on his fifth studio album, Forgotten Feels.

While electronic music is often associated with flashing lights and energetic beats, masked producer Slow Magic brings out a gentler side of the genre through his productions. From his 2014 hit “Girls” to his 2020 album it’s the end of the world, but it’s ok, his ambient soundscapes, dreamy synths, and serene melodies have taken listeners to a realm of sonic enchantment, evoking a range of emotions from melancholy to euphoria. Now, the anonymous producer is unveiling his most intimate work to date on his fifth studio album, Forgotten Feels.

Slow Magic’s Forgotten Feels is an 11-track collection that exhibits a cinematic production where each song guides the listener to embrace the complexities of the human experience. “Avoiding Pain” features a poignant orchestration with soaring harmonies that invite the listener to practice self-compassion, while his collaboration with rising star Juuku, “Emotions,” showcases kinetic instrumentation and synth-wave textures.

Much to one’s surprise, the secretive producer slightly lifts up the curtain on his persona by embracing the microphone on the indie pop-flavored number “Eternal Sunshine.” Other tracks, like “Connection” with Laxcity, “Human Nature,” and “222,” also stand tall on Forgotten Feels as Slow Magic continues on his path of inspiring listeners to open their hearts and share their emotions.

Forgotten Feels is a reflection of the past and a glimpse into the infinite future, expl, oring themes of loss, conflicting emotions, escapism, nostalgia, and freedom. With total creative independence and collaborations with amazing artists and friends, I followed my heart and instinct to create something fresh and exciting to me.
