Avoure Delivers Progressive Bliss on Latest Release

Ukrainian DJ and producer Avoure makes a splash with his latest sonic offering to land on This Never Happened, Reflection.

Turn back the clock to 2018, and you’ll find Avoure finding his footing on This Never Happened with his first releases. “Voile” and “Let Me,” the latter being a collaboration with Lane 8 himself, appeared on the second volume of Root To Branch and quickly turned the heads of those who had fallen in love with the imprint early on. A remix of “Stir Me Up” and his debut EP, U, soon followed, setting the stage for even more masterful soundscapes to come from Avoure in the following years.

During this time, Avoure has become one of the most beloved artists among the This Never Happened family, gracing the imprint on an annual basis with fresh helpings of gorgeous progressive tunes that heal the mind, uplift the soul, and make your feet move. That doesn’t mean the past few years haven’t been rocky for the Ukrainian artist, though, as his home country was invaded by Russia in 2022. Since then, Avoure has made many changes in his life, including relocating to the US, but before he left, there were a few final tunes he had created in the studio, which have since surfaced on Reflection.

I created the ‘Reflection’ EP last fall, back in Ukraine. These were the last three tracks I made before moving to the USA. Sweet memories of home and sadness about the things happening in my homeland. Another spectrum of emotions, and new chapter in my career.

Avoure

The release of Reflection arrived just over a week after Avoure was able to play with other members of This Never Happened for the first time at their Summer Gathering in San Francisco, and found within it are three tracks dripping with emotion. “Pink” leads the way into this progressive realm as guitars, drums, and vocal chops are layered in to whisk you off into a dreamy state of mind. Then, the title track enters the fray with its powerful melodies that pick up seemingly right where “Pink” left off yet offer moments for listeners to sit back and reflect before Avoure builds back into drops that are sure to ignite dancefloors.

“This Feelin’” arrives as the final track on Reflection and is filled with pure progressive energy as the hypnotic beat wraps around your mind. The vocal stabs creep in and out before being put on display front and center in the middle, but before you know it, you’ll be back to shuffling your feet and bopping your head along with the beat.

Listen to Reflection on Spotify or your preferred platform, and stay tuned for more from Avoure by following him on social media.
