Movement Detroit just revealed new showcases, VIP pop-ups, and more to enhance the experience for attendees this year.

While the full lineup for Movement Music Festival was already released, today’s announcement includes a couple of surprises for those making the Memorial Day Weekend pilgrimage to Detroit. Many notable Detroit names like Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen, and Chicago crossover Green Velvet return again to Hart Plaza, along with the famous Detroit Stage featuring up-and-coming local talent. Of course, there are also the marquee names like Skrillex, John Summit, Dom Dolla, and Charlotte de Witte helping round out the main stages. And the 2023 edition is reaching well beyond techno and house, including acts like Bonobo, Soundmurder, and Three 6 Mafia.

One of the most notable additions at Movement Detroit this year is the first-time Defected Records showcase in collaboration with local legend Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records. Taking place on the second day at the Stargate Stage, this showcase is not to be missed! Just a few of the sets to be featured in this showcase are Kevin Saunderson b2b Dantiez, Adam Port, KiNK (live), Ash Lauryn, and Sam Divine.

Movement Detroit represents the beating heart of the house and techno music scene, with a rich legacy of pioneering artists and innovators who have pushed the boundaries of electronic music. It’s a celebration of the culture, creativity, and community, and Defected is honoured to be a part of the incredible event alongside Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records. We cannot wait to showcase the power of house music on such a legendary stage, and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this iconic festival.

George Pritchard, Director of Events & Talent at Defected

Movement Music Festival is always a big hit, and we truly enjoyed the return in 2022 after COVID cancelations. The changes to the 2023 edition seem to highlight what this festival is already famous for while adding a few new additions to the mix as well. In addition to the showcases will be VIP Pop-Ups from Soul Clap, Mija & Friends, and Detroit Techno Militia.

Tickets are on sale now for VIP and GA and can be purchased for 3-day or single-day passes. Don’t miss out!
