SILO’s opening event, CIRCE, delivered a musical stimulation and mind-bending experience to transport the crowd to a mystical realm.
Portrayed as a powerful and dangerous figure of seduction and allure, Circe has been a popular subject in art and literature throughout the centuries that closely represents the magical energy of the divine feminine. In celebration of Brooklyn’s newest go-to nightclub hotspot, SILO‘s opening week, they kicked off a celebration of CIRCE, putting the focus on the entrancing power of goddess-fatale and hypnotic sounds by female powerhouses, Cassy, Tara Brooks, and YONIT.
Throughout the night, party-goers were immersed in a delicate interplay of pleasurable highs as they danced off to the hypnotic and experimental sounds. In addition to the fiery lineup for CIRCE, SILO’s dance floor was powered by a seamless sound, lighting, and projection system that almost felt like a human terrarium. The opening team also made sure that the mixology and drinks menu was fully fitting of the CIRCE theme.
Mixologist Daniel Roman elevated his craftsmanship for SILO’s grand opening. He oversaw the drinks menu that features clever and delicious twists on popular classics, while also focusing on sustainability with reusable cups and biodegradable straws. In line with a party that features hypnotic deep house tracks and mythical Greek vibes, their specially curated cocktail “Immortal Potion” came with an entrancing fizzy cocktail, a twist on the spicy margarita that comes topped with strawberries and champagne.
When it comes to the music, CIRCE was a sensational experience for those in attendance.
As one of the promising innovative DJs in the scene, Tara Brooks has been on a steady ascent from the underground. She brought her original perspective to the music that ranges from psychedelic soulful house to the heavier side of groovy acid techno. Full of fire and delivering her set in an emotive way, the SoCal-born artist showcased her undeniable flair for production through light and dark elements of her music to keep the partygoers hooked.
UK-born DJ Cassy also brought her dynamic style and passionate knowledge of electronic music to life.
Occasionally infusing a deep house blend and raw instrumentals in her production, Cassy is one of the scene’s most intriguing talents. She captivated the theme of CIRCE right from the start with her smooth mixing skills and vocal-driven minimal techno tracks, delivering a unique and immersive-like experience for the audience. Against the colorful light projections, she added an otherworldly, dreamlike quality to the venue with her music.
The enchanting atmosphere set up a blend of tripping yet futuristic vibe that gets SILO off to a great start for its grand opening. It was a night of freedom and exploration, where the audience came together to share in the multi-sensory experience.
