After announcing his debut album, Habstrakt drops the second single “Vision” and prepares to embark on a world tour in March.
The gritty, high-octane sounds from Habstrakt are unmistakable and have driven him to become such a memorable bass house producer. Whether collaborating with dance music’s biggest artists like Skrillex on “Chicken Soup” or providing official remixes for the Internet’s favorite music like Acraze’s “Do It To It,” it seems as though he is always around the corner with a slew of non-stop hits.
After making his rounds through club and music festivals, it’s hard to imagine how Habstrakt could possibly take his career to the next level. But as always, he runs forward with nothing but energy – this time, in the form of his debut album. “Vision” marks the second single to be released from the album following “Outer Space” with Roderick Porter, and it’s equally personal as it is a high-powered heater.
I wrote the first idea of this record when I first moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and it’s been haunting me since. I had a vision for it but could never get it right, until I recently decided to fully rework it after being inspired in Amsterdam for ADE and developing the album. This song is sort of a time capsule to me, with so many versions of it tied to memories of the life I started after moving from France to LA.

“Vision” begins with rolling vocal layers before dropping in with a plucky bassline. The song touts everything that makes Habstrakt’s music so distinctive – including a healthy dose of metallic sounds and brief moments of growling textures. While the song holds its own edge, there’s a buoyant atmosphere that emanates throughout, making it a festival-ready track.
In addition to releasing the newest single from his album, Habstrakt prepares to embark on a world tour set to begin in March, with over 25 stops in the United States, Europe, and Asia, collectively.
