Nicky Elisabeth Releases Debut Two-Tracker on Anjunadeep

Nicky Elisabeth

Multi-talented artist Nicky Elisabeth finds a home on Anjunadeep with the release of her two-track EP, Fading / Sun.

Amsterdam continues to be one of the biggest homes for dance music as it fosters artists from all walks of life – and Nicky Elisabeth is the latest who is creating some electronic magic. This DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter has already turned some heads with her first-ever release in 2021, the Celeste EP on Kompakt, along with performances at iconic nightclubs like Fabric and her residency at De Marktkantine.

Now, Nicky Elisabeth has set her sights on expanding her sonic offerings even further with her latest release, the two-track Fading / Sun EP. Not only do “Fading” and “Sun” show off her mastery of creating emotion-fueled, softer soundscapes, but it also marks the rising artist’s debut on famed imprint Anjunadeep.

The two-tracker opens with sultry vocals over a subtle beat on “Fading” that slowly builds to add warmth before pausing for just a brief moment. The midsection picks up the pace as it chugs along, offering lyrics that will tug at the heartstrings of listeners as they move to the beat whether while listening at a nightclub or lounging poolside.

Then, the “Sun” crests on the horizon, carrying similar tones and thematic elements as the previous tune yet leaning a touch more into the melodic techno-infused elements that permeate previous releases from Nicky Elisabeth. The vocals on this one take it to the next level, giving listeners a comforting hug as the synths and smooth bassline wrap around their minds.
