The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, birds are chirping, the festival season has just kicked off, and producers in the scene have been working hard in the studio to serve up the soundtrack of spring. This is certainly a thrilling time of year, and it can reach the level of perfection if a little bit of progressive and trance are tossed into the atmosphere. This is where Belgian music maker StanV steps in.
As a regular on Enhanced Progressive, High Contrast Recordings, and Elliptical Sun, StanV has blown away fans with his modern meets classic trance stylings, packed with beautiful melodies that make you want to lift your hands high to the sky. It’s easy to see where he gets his inspiration as this is a man who was raised by the beats of DJ Tiesto back in the late ’90s. Fast forward to today, and StanV has dedicated himself to making his own timeless impact on the industry and it’s safe to say that he’s off to an excellent start with majestic pulse pumpers like “The Vault,” “Wicked,” and “Thoughts.”
Most recently, StanV has been hard at work on his new track “Mysteria,” a collaborative masterpiece with JANPAUL that’s heading to a speaker near you on April 1. For this go-round he serves up a true banger, dishing out heavy synths with an ultra-electrified melody perfect for the mainstage. But, while we still have a week to wait, have no fear because StanV dropped off a breathtaking mix that you can enjoy right now and it comes packed with tracks from Eric Prydz, Cosmic Gate, Enamour, Rank 1, Eli Brown, and more, as well as a flurry of IDs.
This basically is a journey through my head, going from fresh progressive & trance over some curveball trancey techno through to pure classics. I’m not a fan of a lot of modern ‘start-stop’ 60 min sets, but rather of building a journey over a bit longer in time. That’s something I wanted to showcase here as well. There are quite a few special gems in there that have had a lot of influence on me over the past years, and obviously also a lot of StanV music. Apart from the collaboration with JANPAUL that’s coming out on April 1st, you can also discover a new remix coming very soon on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover as well as a few ID’s that will see the light on Enhanced in the coming months.
