Disco Donnie Presents’ Ubbi Dubbi will move back to its original home at Panther Island in Ft. Worth for the 2022 edition.
As warmer temperatures and better weather arrive with the onset of spring, the hype surrounding the upcoming edition of Ubbi Dubbi in Texas continues to grow. Disco Donnie Presents dropped the full lineup of artists earlier this year with some of the biggest names in the scene such as CamelPhat, Excision, Gorgon City, Zeds Dead, and Alison Wonderland, among many others, who will take the stage on April 23-24.
The twists and turns of the world continue to leave a lasting effect on many festivals, though, and unfortunately, Ubbi Dubbi has felt the brunt of that as well. Their plans to head to Ennis this year have been dashed, along with the planned camping experience as well. Instead, Disco Donnie and his crew announced that Ubbi Dubbi will return to Panther Island in Ft. Worth, the original venue that the festival called home, for its 2022 edition.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, Disco Donnie shared his own disappointment with the situation after many called for a response from him about the situation. “I’m just as disappointed as you about losing the camping at Ubbi 2022. Unfortunately, under the current economic conditions, it’s [sic] just wasn’t feasible to produce a high-quality festival in Ennis this year,” he said. “We’re looking at mark-ups of 30-40% across the board, with production almost being 100% higher.”
Those who had purchased festival tickets for Ubbi Dubbi will have their passes automatically transferred to the new venue. Because the new venue will not feature camping, refunds will be given to those who had opted for that. Head over to their website for further details on how those refunds will be given out, along with details on the pre-parties and after-parties that are to be announced as well.
