Beatport Launches Global Remix Contest Featuring Giolì & Assia

Beatport and Microsoft Surface team up to launch the next Originals² Remix Competition featuring Italian DJ duo Giolì & Assia.

Beatport and Microsoft Surface bring groundbreaking innovation into live streaming technology and in December 2021, introduced Originals², a global campaign that connects and empowers musicians. Utilizing Beatport DJ’s Party Mode feature, the first Originals² campaign saw the world’s first remote b2b live stream set with Jamie Jones playing from Miami and Loco Dice from Berlin.

Earlier this month, they announced the next phase of Originals² – a global remix contest featuring Italian DJ duo, Giolì & Assia. Through this competition, Beatport and Microsoft Surface hope to find emerging DJs and producers from around the world. Entrants are tasked with remixing Giolì & Assia’s “Inside Your Head.”

Four winners will be chosen to perform a revolutionary four-person b2b set alongside Giolì & Assia in Ibiza. The set will be streamed on Beatport’s Twitch and YouTube channels. Each winner will also receive amazing prizes including a Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio, a one-year subscription to Beatport LINK, access to the International Music Summit in Ibiza, and more.

We are so excited about our collaboration with Microsoft Surface and Beatport. The new Surface Laptop Studio has supercharged our studio set-up at home here in Sicily and we can’t wait to bring it to Ibiza this spring. We’re also so excited to be able to gift both a Microsoft Surface prize pack and a trip to Ibiza to the remix competition winners! We chose our favorite song “Inside Your Head” for the remix competition from our label Diesis Records and are excited to discover all the new versions the remixers will create! Also looking forward to discovering new producers through this process!

In addition to announcing this remix contest, Beatport recently launched the Beatport Mobile App to streamline playlist management and music search. The app is now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play App Store. Get access to Beatport’s nine-million song catalog and the Beatport DJ web app.

Remix competition prizes:

Participation in a livestream from Ibiza, Spain with the 3 other winners, alongside Gioli & Assia using the Beatport DJ App’s Party Mode feature. The feature is seamlessly integrated into Beatport’s DJ web app streaming platform and enables up to four DJs to collaborate on real-time sets from different locations.
