Win and Woo Bring the Nostalgia with Their This Is Home Mix

Chicago’s Win and Woo take us down memory lane with an exclusive guest mix featuring their formative tracks and newest single, “Vanilla Sky.”

The Chicago-based duo of Nick Winholt and Austin Woo, otherwise known as Win and Woo, have won over the hearts of fans since first breaking out in 2015. During this time, they’ve carved their own path in the scene with fun, pop-infused electronic music combining upbeat melodies, catchy hooks, and organic instrumentation.

In 2016, their debut single “Recognize” featuring Ashe propelled their career forward. Following singles including “Chasing Tail” and “Chicago,” along with remixes for the likes of ILLENIUM, Fall Out Boy, Big Gigantic, and Bryce Fox, made it clear that this duo is one to watch as they continue to rise.

To kick off 2022 Win and Woo released “Vanilla Sky,” a collaboration with singer/songwriter Wrabel, which doubled as the first taste of their upcoming album 10 Years due out later this year. Eliciting feelings of nostalgia, this tune opens with an electric guitar melody before Wrabel’s vocals are enveloped in a reverb-soaked, atmospheric backsound. It’s sure to make you feel relaxed and have you yearning for warm summer sunsets.

Now, to celebrate its release, Win and Woo continue to ride the nostalgic wave with tracks that made them who they are as artists for their This Is Home mix. It’s hard to not get swept away as you listen to these formative tracks, many of which bring up strong emotions and memories for us as well.

This one is very special to us. From Kaskade to Skrillex, this mix pays homage to just about every artist that has inspired Win and Woo along the way. Enjoy the nostalgia and be sure to catch our new record “Vanilla Sky” with Wrabel at the end of the mix! We are really excited about this record. We look up to [Wrabel] as a songwriter and fell in love with this as soon as we heard it. We finished it while writing our album and it perfectly fit into the overall message of the project.

Win and Woo

Win and Woo’s This Is Home mix is both sentimental and had us dancing along the whole way through. Kaskade’s “Disarm You” opens the journey, putting you right in your feels before continuing the journey down memory lane with tracks including The Chainsmokers’ remix of Smallpools’ “Dreaming,” “Five Hours” by Deorro, and “Wake Me Up” by Avicii. Catch gems from Empire of the Sun, Calvin Harris, Hayden James, ODESZA, Skrillex, and Flume before the mix closes with “Vanilla Sky.”
