Colson XL and ero808 Slow it Down with "Too Fast"

Colson XL and ero808 join forces once again on a new feelsy tune dubbed “Too Fast” – the second single from their forthcoming Dreamgirl EP.

Since emerging in 2019, dance duo Colson XL has mesmerized listeners with their exotic blend of future bass, trap, and indietronica. Fusing riveting vocals with funky basslines and unique melodies, the two artists’ transcendent sounds have landed on Sable Valley, Elysian Records, and other influential labels. Now, after releasing the title track off their forthcoming EP Dreamgirl, they’ve teamed up once again with ero808 for the second single, “Too Fast.”

“Too Fast” appeals to the listener with undeniably magnetic energy. This sexy collaboration sizzles with its bubbly soundscapes and RnB flavor – making it quite the sensual genre-bender. ero88 dazzles with his moody cadence before flipping the switch with an emotional rap sequence. Meanwhile, Colson XL’s production prowess reveals itself yet again as sweeping 808s merge with layers of exhilarating synth waves and an infectious percussive beat.

This was a REALLY fun track to work on and it was wrapped up pretty quickly. We sent ero808 the initial idea which had most of the basic structure for the song and the drops. ero808 then added some incredibly catchy vocals as well as recording some guitar layers. He also added one of the coolest parts of the song, the section where most elements cut out and he raps – this section really brings the song to another level. We were so excited the first time we heard it and still get hyped when we hear it today.

Evidently, Colson XL and ero808 have some true sonic chemistry and their collaborative EP Dreamgirl is sure to be thrilling. Released in full on August 26, this project will certainly have listeners journeying through every emotion and we can’t wait to take the ride.
