Mac & Ward Take Us Higher with a Bouncy New Mix

UK-based duo Mac & Ward spin an upbeat house mix full of hand-selected tunes and originals for the This Is Home series!

Over the past decade, UK-based duo Mac & Ward have been creating music together across the electronic music spectrum, starting out creating heavier bass-driven tunes and more recently finding their niche in the groovier realm of house. Since then, they’ve gone on to sign with esteemed UK producer Shadow Child’s imprint, Food Music, and have also seen their releases supported by renowned artists like Chris Lake, Oliver Heldens, Jax Jones, and Claude VonStroke to name a few.

Pressing on with their mission to get dance floors moving, Mac & Ward’s most recent single “Take Me Higher” does just that. Out via Kideko’s Make Em Move, this tune is layered with dancey breakbeats, dreamy synths, and entrancing vocals that all come together to create a uniquely emotive house anthem primed for the festival circuit and the dancefloor.

“Take Me Higher” also gets a proper rinse in the exclusive mix that Mac & Ward put together for the This Is Home mix series. In this 60-minute mix, Mac & Ward take listeners from a light toe-tapping to straight-up dancing around the room as they showcase the sounds of the UK house scene. The mix eases listeners in with a collection of uplifting house tunes before subtly transitioning into a darker late-night vibe. Combining a variety of UK genres, Mac & Ward seamlessly weave the sounds into an infectious mix that transports listeners to the UK dancefloor – it’s one that’s well worth the ride.

Our hometown is called Workington. This is a small town located in the Lake District in Cumbria. Growing up this little town was a great hub for all things dance music. We had events ranging from House, Scouse House, Bounce/Donk, Hard House, UK Hardcore and Makina.
This was a huge influence on us creating our love and appreciation for all kinds of dance music and starting our journey into Music Production and DJ’ing.
