3LAU Announces Winner of the “Everything” Scholarship with Bold.org

Bhavana Veeravalli was announed as the recipient of 3LAU’s “Everything” Scholarship through Bold.org’s Year of Giving Campaign.

3LAU has been one of the most well-known and influential artists in the dance music scene. Over the years he’s made a huge impact on the image of the music industry and an even bigger impact on his fans. Beyond the music and other projects he’s embarked on, one of the focuses in his career is helping others through charitable endeavors including his most recent with bold.org.

At the beginning of 2021 3LAU partnered with bold.org to kick off their Year of Giving Campaign. The “Everything” scholarship accumulated over 3,000 scholarship applications but only one lucky student was chosen to win the $14,500 award, which was bolstered by more funds raised by both 3LAU and his fanbase.

Back in January, I launched The 3LAU ‘Everything’ Scholarship to celebrate my 30th Birthday and my new single “Everything.” I’m inspired by the number of applicants this scholarship received. Bhavana’s essay about the power of storytelling through art was thoughtful and moving. I’m so happy to award her this scholarship, which will help her pursue a Bachelor’s in Graphic Communications.

With an application and essay, North Carolina State University Motion Graphics Designer student Bhavana Veeravalli wowed with her touching and powerful essay. Reflecting on life experiences from herself and others. Through extraordinary efforts from 3LAU and bold.org Veeravalli is able to focus on her education without the stress and worry of student debt. Her extraordinary words spoke volumes when making the decision to choose her as the recipient.

The scholarship and partnership were in celebration of 3LAU’s 30th birthday and release of the first his of the new year, “Everything.” So, Bhavana Veeravalli wrote about her “Everything,” which is the power of art. She demonstrated her passion by stating “What is more powerful than giving life to something that was once thought intangible?” in the piece.

I am incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to pursue my passion for animation without financial barriers in my education. It is always amazing to see artists such as 3LAU help aspiring creators realize their potential in the same way they have achieved theirs. I cannot wait to explore and grow as an animator and tell stories that need to be heard.
