Biicla releases a fantastic music video for his latest single, “Getting High,” from his forthcoming Outside EP that’s due out this July.
Over the past few years, rising phenom Biicla has been making a name for himself in Russia and is now making larger ripples elsewhere in the global electronic music scene. Pulling influences from the realms of bass, electronica, and pop, he continuously astounds fans new and old alike with his impressive ability to seamlessly blend multiple genres with his productions that have landed on Deadbeats, Confession, and more.
Now the Russian producer and multi-instrumentalist continues to showcase his genre-bending abilities on his latest single “Getting High.” The release arrives ahead of his forthcoming EP, Outside, which is due out in July on TOKiMONSTA’s Young Art Records, and features a fantastic groove paired with emotion-driven vocals that really make it stand out.
In addition to the release of Biicla’s “Getting High” is the single’s accompanying music video. Filmed in his apartment in a small city in Siberia, Labytnangi, the visual component is an acute representation of what much of the world has been enduring the last year and a half. Stuck inside, with minimal social interactions, the music video shows Biicla going through the motions of fighting loneliness as he tries on different outfits, tends to his chores, keeps up with his fitness, and produces music.
The stripped-down production shows just how creative you can get even when the world seems to be at a standstill. So check out the video below and stream or purchase “Getting High” on your favorite platform. Don’t forget to catch Biicla at festivals like HARD Summer, Lost In Dreams, and more this year!
