After showing fans what happens “When The Sun Goes Down,” Braxton returns to the renowned Anjunadeep imprint with the Indigo EP.

One of the emerging artists who has graced Anjunadeep over the past few years with some serene sounds is Braxton. Based out of Brighton, he first landed on the label back in 2019 with the release of “When The Sun Goes Down,” a stunning single that he followed up in 2020 with Chiaroscuro / Torn to the delight of his growing fanbase. Now with the new year in full swing and a collaborative remix of “My Stripes” with Marsh under his belt, he’s returned to the label once more with the Indigo EP.

Available now for the listening pleasure of Anjuna Family members around the world, the Indigo EP features three tunes from Braxton that were conceived during the lockdown in the UK. “When the UK lockdown started I was massively uninspired. I felt I couldn’t write while there was nothing going on. But there was so much going on – it just wasn’t going on outside,” he said reflecting on 2020. “I realized that in the days when I’d been physically free, I’d been emotionally trapped. And I’m sure I wasn’t the only one. The physical restriction forced a lot of us to look internally.”

And looking internally is exactly what Braxton did as he found new life within old projects while fresh cuts surfaced as well. Much as how it was placed on the EP, the title track “Indigo” leads the charge with its tribal, breakbeat infused drums which help put his journey in finding balance amidst the madness on display. Then, “Wilderness” arrives with its steady beat and vocal that simply soothes the soul as it guides listeners on a journey into the unknown before Braxton breathes life into the new world with “Sakura” to bring the release to a close.
