Tomorrowland sets their sights on making a return this summer with the announcement of dates in late August and early September.
After a stunning celebration for their 15th edition of Tomorrowland in 2019, the hype was steadily building for what was to come the following year. But much like other festivals around the world, plans for the iconic gathering in Boom, Belgium were dashed due to the pandemic. Instead, they looked to the digital realm for a jaw-dropping spectacle and double-downed on the experience on New Year’s Eve as well.
Today, the latest news from Tomorrowland has surfaced in regards to their return in 2021. While passes for the festival remain to be a hot commodity with many opting to roll over the purchases for 2020, there are now some dates that the People of Tomorrow can look forward to and begin making plans. Tomorrowland Weekend One will now take place on August 27-29 while Weekend Two will now occur on September 3-5.
On their website, the festival organizers wrote, “We want to stay positive and hopeful towards an unforgettable end of summer of 2021, but realize that there is also a chance the 16th edition of Tomorrowland could take place in 2022.” They continued on to offer up an uplifting message as well, “We expect to come back to you in May with a detailed update. For now, we will keep working hard to realize the most beautiful & safest festival. Together with the People of Tomorrow, we believe in better times. We will unite again.”
If you purchased a Global Journey or Dreamville package, or simply want to learn more about the changes that have been made, please visit Tomorrowland’s website for specifics including name changes, deadlines, and more. There are also different options available if you’re unable to attend the new dates of the festival this coming summer that range from ticket transfers and exchanges to honoring the passes in 2022.
