Hungarian drum and bass label OYO is roaring into 2021 with their latest compilation, SECRET STASH, which features seven banging tunes.
Although OYO might be one of the most recent imprints to emerge on the drum and bass scene, they’ve already begun to curate some fantastic releases on the label. Jump-started in Budapest back in 2019, they dropped the GX EP from label head Klay and the HOAX EP from L3MMY DUBZ before 2020 hit. While CEPH’s Cruciatus EP landed in March of last year the label remained fairly quiet, but now they’ve roared into 2021 with a fresh compilation to feast on SECRET STASH.
The SECRET STASH compilation brings forth seven drum and bass tracks that will dominate anyone who tunes in to hear the metallic leads, warped basslines, and volatile percussion sequences throughout. While familiar faces such as Klay and L3MMY DUBZ grace the tracklist, there is a flurry of newcomers including Yatuza, Fanatics, and Whisper who all bring their own unique sounds to the release.
One of the standout tunes on the compilation is “War Crimes” by GINO with its eerie soundscape and heavy, distorted bass tones that will transport listeners to a different dimension. And if you were looking for even more energy then Master Error arrives with some “B.A.S.S.” and glitched out sounds in tow to really pack an even bigger punch.
