One of the artists in the dance music scene who continues to impress with each passing release is GHOST DATA. Heavily influenced by cinematic soundscapes found in video games and from other electronic artists as well, he’s created an entire universe with his music that’s packed full of emotion and storytelling elements.

Riding his unique sound that’s been dubbed “Dreamsynth” by his growing fanbase, GHOST DATA has delivered some monstrous releases over the past few years that include the Void Walker, The Shepherdess: REBIRTH, and Cruel Choreography albums. All three lean on melodic atmospheres with a perfect touch of future bass and midtempo elements for some extra energy as they add depth to the world that he’s created. Two of the tunes from Cruel Choreography also caught the ear of Graydient Collective as well, with “Angelic Layer” and “Voice of Eternity” gracing the first and second volume of their Colors compilation series.

GHOST DATA closed out 2020 with the Cyberpunk 2077-influenced, midtempo tune “DDOS,” which urges listeners to “become one with the machine” and made it clear that he has even more in store for 2021. Something I enjoy when performing is the thrill of “genre shuffling”, so I try my best to incorporate as many different styles of music into my sets as I can. I really get a high off of telling a narrative as well, so having different points of tension and release in my work is important to illustrate the world that is The Shepherdess.
