deadmau5 will be ringing in the new year in style with three nights at Insomniac’s Park N Rave and a weekend of shows in San Diego in January!

Even though the pandemic has shaken up this year and decimated the scene, it hasn’t stopped legendary dance music artist deadmau5 from continuing to keep the spirits up of his faithful mau5trap following. Taking the stage virtually early on, he’s recently released some fantastic music while also transitioning to drive-in shows that have landed in cities like Chicago and Atlanta. Now, he’s set to leave 2020 in the dust with three nights of shows for NYE at Insomniac’s Park N Rave Concert Series and two nights at the Chula Vista Drive-In Concert Series in January as well.

Many were wondering what Insomniac would be concocting to help ring in the new year as their mainstay festival Countdown would not be possible, and three nights of deadmau5 is quite an offering. New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day will feature sets from deadmau5 himself, while on January 2 he’ll be playing a TESTPILOT set to give techno lovers their fix as well. Then, on January 7-8, deadmau5 will head to San Diego for two more nights of his fantastic beats at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre Lot in Chula Vista.

Each car pass for Insomniac’s Park N Rave concert series grants entry for up to five people, with additional companion upgrades available for a maximum of eight total. Gates open an hour and a half before the scheduled show time and you MUST be at the venue before it begins, so early arrival is strongly suggested as spots are on a first-come, first-served basis. Details and more FAQs on approved items, safety guidelines, and more can be found via Insomniac’s website.

Further details on the shows are sparse at the moment as deadmau5 dropped the flyers and pre-sale info, but no additional artists as support. The Chula Vista Drive-In is also a new announcement, so check their FAQ for more details on this show. We’ll make sure to update this post as soon as we receive more information on both series of shows, so stay tuned!

Pre-sale car passes for both weekends of shows in San Bernardino and San Diego will be available on November 23 at 12pm PT via deadmau5.com/shows. These are expected to move quickly so make sure to secure passes soon!
