DROELOE Announces Departure of Hein Hamers

DROELOE took to social media earlier today to announce that original member Hein Hamers will be leaving the duo to pursue his own path.

Since first emerging on the scene, DROELOE has become renowned for bringing stunning audio-visual experiences to their fans around the world. Originally a trio consisting of Joris Weerts (film director), Hein Hamers (graphic designer), and Vincent Rooijers (music producer), they carved out a niche in the scene for those who looked to have a deeper connection to electronic music.

Early on, Joris departed the group to pursue his personal ambitions in the film world, with Hein and Vincent carrying the DROELOE torch as they continued on their artistic journey. This led to a number of stunning releases and performances that were memorable, and most recently they announced that their anthology album, A Matter Of Perspective, would be released on November 13 via bitbird.

Paired with a fresh single “Roadside Flowers,” the hype surrounding the new music grew as their fans prepped for the release next month. But today, just days after that news broke of their forthcoming album, they took to social media to announce that Hein will be departing the DROELOE project as well.

“Seeing that we are very different as people and both have very different roles within the project; Hein creating all the visual art and Vincent creating all the music, we noticed along the way that continuing this narrative would lead to an imbalance in the way we work together.”

“That’s why, after long conversations about what we both want in life, we decided to continue both our stories separately. Vincent will continue to make music as DROELOE, adding new chapters to that story. Hein will continue to make visual art for other/multiple projects and is, therefore, able to challenge different aspects of his creativity,” the statement reads. They also emphasize that the separation is mutual, as the focus for both is on pursuing the lives they really want so they can open new chapters of their own story.

We wish Vincent and Hein the best of luck on their new paths, and can’t wait to see what both artists plan to bring in the future. Until then, pre-save A Matter Of Perspective on your favorite platform, and give Hein a proper send-off with a comment on the video for “Roadside Flowers.”
