Oddprophet Drops “Disassociation” Ahead of ‘Black Label XL7’

Oddprophet releases his best tune to date with “Disassociation” that’s due out on the forthcoming Black Label XL7 compilation!

Oddprophet continues to go above and beyond in both his production talents and his frequency of releases. The Welsh artist has already dominated this year with his Optical Illusions EP and a recent remix of Slander and Moody Good’s “Heart Break,” and now he’s set to gift his fans with even more with three tracks on the upcoming Black Label XL7 compilation.

Never Say Die: Black Label launched its Black Label XL compilation series back in 2015 with the mission of featuring the label’s brightest stars with fresh tunes and a mix. The upcoming edition is set to feature stellar tracks from BadKlaat, Kill Feed, TRVCY, Krimer, Aweminus, and Graphyt, all curated by Oddprophet who brings his magic touch to the release.

One of the fiery tracks off the compilation from Oddprophet is “Disassociation” which is oozing with melodic elements and his unique, crunchy bass tones. The intro leads listeners with stabbing chords and memorable vocals before quickly working its way up into a high energy build that swiftly drops listeners into chaos. This track is one that will make you want to get up out of your seat and be headbanging around your living room from the minute you press play!

While “Disgrace” is a comical reflection of the EDM scene disguised in an angry football manager sample and “Vauxhall Tearout” is an ode to 18-year-old me travelling five hours on a coach to London every month to enjoy the UK’s only dubstep night, “Dissociation” is the potential anthem of the trio. I wanted to make a tune that everyone could sing along to in chorus, a song that could unite everyone with a memorable melody that splashes into a distorted, crunchy chaos. The title also reflects my periods of dissociation a few years ago, a feeling of disconnect with the world around you. While it was definitely nothing too serious, that feeling of passiveness about reality can be really surreal. My dubstep usually doesn’t have meaning behind it, but I wanted this one to have an underlying tone, even if it isn’t obvious to the listener.
