Don Diablo teams up with Denzel Chain to deliver a taste of nostalgia with the debut of their fantastic ’80s inspired project, Camp Kubrick!

Since first breaking onto the scene, Dutch artist Don Diablo has made waves in the electronic dance community by crafting breathtaking tracks that satiate a range of genres and listeners. Over the years he’s released fantastic tunes like “Cutting Shapes” and “Switch” which continue to light up dancefloors around the world. Now, he’s looked to the past and partnered with Denzel Chain to debut Camp Kubrick, an outstanding ’80s-inspired project.

Paired with the news of the fresh project is an undeniably hip tune, “Johnny’s Online” which will immediately transport you back to an era filled with neon colors and smoky dancefloors. The duo brings a unique energy and refined beats to craft a track that would fit perfectly in the soundtrack for feature movie set in ’80s like Dirty Dancing or Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

I have always cherished a secret love for pop music from the 80s. It not only makes me feel nostalgic, [but] it also transports me back into a time when things felt less complicated. I met Denzel in Los Angeles last year through a mutual friend and it turned out we shared a lot of the same ideas and inspirations, it’s safe to say we immediately had a connection on a deeper level after our first meeting.

By incorporating vocal harmonies, large drums, and corresponding synths they developed the “official start of an exciting journey into [a] retro-future universe.” This is only the beginning of the story for these two and there is no uncertainty that they will be back soon with more feel-good tunes, we can’t wait!

If you would like to take a stroll down memory lane, be sure to listen to “Johnny Online” down below. Don’t forget to download it on your preferred platform and tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
