Vita Motus unveils cutting edge technology to bring stages from Lightning in a Bottle to the digital realm during DGTL LIB this weekend!

Since quarantine began, there’s been a slew of livestreams and virtual reality festivals — each more eccentric than the last. But this weekend, the Do LaB and Vita Motus are taking things to another level with DGTL LIB.

How? By utilizing the Unreal Engine, Vita Motus has rendered the entire iconic Lightning in a Bottle festival landscape into a magical virtual reality world. Attendees can now explore the beautiful landscape of LIB and artists can perform on virtual fan-favorite stages. Right as we were beginning to feel the depression of missing Lightning in a Bottle, Vita Motus gives us something incredible to be excited about. With intricate design and crystal clear visuals, it’s truly the next best thing to being there in person.

While DGTL LIB is Vita Motus’ latest project, this probably isn’t the first time you’ve seen their creative genius at work.

Vita Motus is a woman-owned, boutique multidisciplinary design firm based in Los Angeles. Their team is known for designing the immersive sculptural art of the BassPOD Stage at EDC Las Vegas that we know and love. And prior to DGTL LIB, they’ve brought the unimaginable to life for clients like Cirque du Soleil, Shakira, Kendrick Lamar & TDE, A$AP Rocky, Adidas, and Sony. Now, they’re making history by creating an entertaining, fully live streaming space for artists and attendees.

“For the first time ever, a branded festival environment has been recreated in a gaming engine to be used for a live broadcast. We at Vita Motus think that Lightning in a Bottle is an ideal environment to showcase our realtime rendering capabilities because of its completely unique architecture, iconic design, and immersive content.” – Heather Shaw, CEO of Vita Motus Design Studio.

Vita Motus is bringing entertainment to attendees, and invaluable opportunities to artists and event producers.

On top of entertaining attendees, they’re giving artists and event producers an invaluable opportunity to share their work and connect with fans. With this groundbreaking technology, brands and event producers can even pay their workers, share their art, support hardworking talent, and spread inspiration to thousands of households around the nation.

Between set design, lighting design, programming, video mapped content, and camera-capture of live broadcasts, their production team and artists are hard at work. With all this, people are free to collaborate and express themselves in a virtual environment from remote locations.

Vita Motus is laying a foundation for events like this in the future.

With DGTL LIB, Vita Motus is redefining live entertainment during a global crisis — a crisis that hit the music industry hard. We couldn’t be more grateful for their creative genius and their dedication. These teams have brought live entertainment to our homes in the most realistic and mind-blowing ways possible.

Attendees can immerse themselves in the vibes of the festival and connect with one another. Moreover, artists, speakers, yogis, event producers, and creative minds are able to share their work in a new, exciting way. This paves the way for a whole new type of festival experience. As we enjoy this new landscape of live entertainment, we can’t help but wonder “what’s next?!”

You can experience the world of DGTL LIB all Memorial Day Weekend long, from May 22-24.

Artists like Kaytranada, CloZee and Opiuo will be performing within the virtual LIB world from fan-favorite stages via Twitch. Additionally, Shiba San and TOKiMONSTA will be performing at a newly designed lake stage. Workshops, yoga, and other activations will also be part of the festival experience.

Which stage are you most excited to visit at DGTL LIB? Which artists or workshops are you most excited to see? Let us know in the comments so we can get even more excited with you!
