Dance music lovers from near and far won’t be heading to Mysteryland this August for the first time in the 27 year history of the festival.

This year, Mysteryland was gearing up for the latest edition of its annual celebration of dance music, art, creativity, and love. Initially set to take place this August 28 – 30, the 2020 lineup would have included headliners DJ Snake and Armin van Buuren, along with industry staples such as Carl Cox, Nora En Pure, Kölsch Sunnery James, and Ryan Marciano, and many more.

However, this year’s festivities have come to a halt after the Dutch Prime Minister extended a countrywide ban on all major public gatherings, including sporting events and music festivals until September 1. Mysteryland 2020 was set to be one for the ages, but the next edition of this legendary festival will now take place on August 27 – 29, 2021.

“With so much love to give, it feels unimaginable for us not to share our passion for music with you this season. There is nothing we cherish more than the precious moments we have together year after year. Please let us thank you all for your everlasting love and support.”

Even though the festival has become the latest to join the ever-expanding list of cancellations and postponements, in true Mysteryland fashion the festival is keeping the fan’s best interest in mind. Attendees who already purchased tickets to this year’s event will be able to keep that ticket for next year or will be able to choose from a variety of refund or exchange options.

Emails with more information will be sent out in the coming days outlining these options for attendees so keep your eyes peeled if you plan to request a refund. Head to their support.id-t.com for other details as well.

Stay tuned for more information about other cancellations and postponements from around the world as we continue to follow the impact coronavirus has on the festival season this year.

Logan Garrison

It was a decade ago that Logan Garrison, better known as DJ Lo_G, first took the stage to spin sets for crowds in the snowy towns of Lake Tahoe and Aspen. Originally spinning sounds in the realm of glitch and bass music, he began to develop a passion for all things house as he returned to his hometown and hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, DJ Lo_G has become a fixture in the Aspen nightlife scene as he has found a home at Belly Up and regularly warms up the stage for some of dance music’s biggest artists like The Chainsmokers, Chris Lake, Slow Magic, Nora En Pure, and most recently ZHU. Joining the EDM Identity team back in 2018, he’s dug even deeper into dance music and the festival scene. Whether he’s covering events like Mysteryland and shows in Aspen, interviewing artists like Hannah Wants, and reviewing fresh releases, his passion for the entire community shines throughout.
