BARILAN Spins a Sexy Spring Mix to Satiate Your Cravings

BARILAN is helping us all beat the quarantine blues with a fresh mix that will have you grooving in your rave cave in no time at all!

One of the artists in the dance music scene who has caught the attention of fans and tastemakers alike is BARILAN. Based out of Los Angeles, he’s been rising through the ranks with releases on labels like CONFESSION and Wukileaks while also making an impact with his remixes as well. Now, he’s spun a very special mix for us all to feast our ears on.

Speaking about the mix and the story behind it, BARLIAN said, “It was originally going to be the first 30 minutes of my first set ever, opening up for Malaa in Miami. I got offered to kick off his “Malaa & Friends” party during Miami Music week right before Ultra got canceled, Miami Music Week came to a screeching halt, and everything around the world started shutting down.”

Much like many others in the scene during the coronavirus pandemic, he also experienced a range of emotions during the initial weeks of the quarantine as well. “At first, I was completely crushed. The past six months have been the hardest months of my life, and it felt like I was robbed of the opportunity I have been working towards for as long as I can remember,” BARLIAN said.

But when life throws you a curveball, you have to learn how to adapt to regain yourself quickly, and that’s just what he did. “Within the first few days of the lockdown, I immediately centered myself and recognized how grateful I am to be alive. I have my health. I have my family. I’m writing the best music of my life. I’m not worried about myself, I’m focusing on humanity and how we need to come together now more than ever.”

“This is about creating opportunities during one of life’s most difficult moments, pushing through the fear of the unknown to find hope. So many people are suffering. This is the most intense, terrifying tragedy that our generation has ever experienced all in one moment,” BARILAN went on to say. “We need to do whatever we can to help people during this time and I figured putting out this mix would do just that.”
