Gem and Jam is preparing for a beautiful weekend full of music, art, performers, and some spectacular collections of gems. After taking the year off last year to reorganize, the three-day, camping event will once again take place at the Pima County Fairgrounds from January 31 – February 2. Not only will Gem and Jam feature more than 40 music artists, but a whole host of live painters and gem vendors from all over the country to explore as well.

If you haven’t been to Gem and Jam before, get ready for an integrated experience. The festival layout in previous years has highlighted art between the stages so that in any direction you get a gallery experience inside the venue. Additionally, they’ll have live painters scattered throughout so that you can view the creation of pieces in real-time. It really makes the physical art feel more connected to the whole event rather than a side feature.

While the art side of Gem and Jam is prominent, the highly curated lineup is just as amazing.

They consistently blend live bands with DJ’s and it creates a very balanced listening experience each day, and there are always plenty of names both familiar and unfamiliar to explore. This year, when we dug into the lineup artists like Cofresi, Tenth Mountain Division, and Marvel Years stuck out as special while major names including Big Gigantic, Tipper, and The Floozies will surely bring the heat as well.

To help you explore the sounds on the lineup, we’ve curated a playlist full of some amazing tunes. Strap in, take a listen to the playlist below, and let us know who you’re most excited for in the comments. Head to their website for tickets!
