Calvin Harris Unveils New Project: Love Regenerator

Calvin Harris is back and bringing the sounds of Acid House front and center with a fresh EP and new project that’s been dubbed Love Regenerator.

One of the artists who has truly cemented himself at the top of the dance music scene is Calvin Harris. Renowned for his skills in the studio, ability to draw in some of the world’s biggest stars for collaborations, and iconic performances everywhere from Las Vegas to festivals like Coachella, he’s one of the true legends in the scene. Now, after teasing his fans with a taste of some new music he’s finally unveiled Love Regenerator.

While Love Regenerator 1 only clocks in at two tracks in total (with two edits for good measure), Calvin Harris makes the most out of them with some infectious acid house beats. In fact, if you were paying close attention to his SoundCloud when “Peace Love Happiness v3” track surfaced and was removed shortly thereafter, his shift to this groove-laden sound might come as no surprise.

“Hypnagogic” kicks things off and brings some serious energy along with it from the get-go. From there, it’s off to the races with piano notes, drums that hit hard, and vocals that will have you wondering if Calvin Harris has found a way to travel back to the ’90s. On the other hand, “CP-1” brings the underground tech and acid influence front and center for a smasher that’s perfect for anyone looking to get down on the dancefloor and shuffle the night away in an uncontrollable manner.

While this blast from the past is our first taste of the new Love Generator alias from Calvin Harris, we can’t wait to see what’s in store from him as we continue to dive deeper into 2020. We’re hoping to hear these new tunes and many more on the Polo Fields this year at Coachella!
